Okay, it has been a few days since my last post, but I claim being too busy. :)

A lot of running about happened on Wednesday night, with [livejournal.com profile] neo_blackwolf and I sprinting from my pickup after soccer...to getting things at his mom's...dinner...Boy Scout meeting...cleaning up and some chores. And thence to bed. Wednesdays are a mad rush every week due to the Boy Scouts meetings. They occur from 7-8:30pm and I don't get back from work until around 5:30ish. So dinner is usually a tad rushed if I cook anything complicated or simply time consuming (the oven in the condo is not the world's fastest at warming up, for instance). C'est la vie. On the plus side, I was kept occupied for the meeting helping some of the older scouts organize the library of merit badge pamphlets and doing a Board of Review Interview for a scout ready to be promoted to First Class.

Thursday was much less hectic. Neo spent a few minutes seranading me on his Sax, which he is just beginning to learn how to play. (I believe he knows 3 notes 'officially') He is just starting to get the hang of using a reed instrument, as he has previously only played a tin whistle/recorder, which he can do a few songs on. He already has a moderately solid grasp on reading music, thanks to his mom.

Following the command performance (he commanded me to attend his performance, you see), we ordered Chinese for delivery. This was a nice treat (and not one to be repeated often) and Neo was very happy to have his package of Spring Rolls all to himself. No, I don't know why that would be a big deal, either. ;) We followed this by playing part of an adventure of the 'Dragon Quest' board game. [3rd Edition D&D based board game, designed as an intro to RPGs] Neo played multiple party members and made a good attempt at roleplaying the characters, although the game is mostly hack/slash. He retreated after taking a rather savage beating by some Dire Wolves, just a few minutes before bedtime would have called an end to festivities in any case.

Sadly, Mr. Stuff-my-face-too-fast wound up sick to his stomach a little later in the evening and threw up some remnants of dinner. Since the only thing he ate that I didn't share was the Spring Rolls, either there was an issue with them or my assumption as to being overstuffed is accurate. He felt fine afterwards and was happy and peppy this morning, maybe even more so than usual.

Today, I've managed to start developing some new projects that we defined yesterday, though I'm not moving as quickly as I had hoped. We'll see if I can get a good push in before I leave, though. If I get momentum, I'll just stay and burn through it, as I don't have Neo this evening. Plans for the weekend include finishing my final shelf build (slowed by poor weather and other commitments), finishing my comics inventory, food shopping, [livejournal.com profile] neo_blackwolf's soccer game, working on my personal website and watching more episodes of Nowhere Man.

Apropos of nothing, the first episode of said series was directed by Tobe Hooper.
