Excitement abounds...

So...there was an attempted armor car robbery earlier today. Three culprits escaped the immediate response and were reported in the area I live in. So they locked down my son's school.

There is apparently a hostage situation nearby. Just now they are releasing the kids (2:15 release, usually...it is now 4:00) in a very slow and careful manner and only directly to parents. Poor jetshade has been waiting to pick up our son for the entire time...blocks away from said hostage situation. Good thing our son is in third grade...they are doing it in grade order and had reached first grade when I spoke to her a few minutes ago...imagine if he was older?

And we have a 6pm soccer game not too far away from there tonight.

UPDATED: Everyone is home safe...no clue what the situation in that area is...heading out to soccer soon.

UPDATED AGAIN: Soccer game went well...they won. Apparently no hostages...just a house being surrounded...they moved in during the time we were at soccer, apparently and caught....nobody. The link above is updated with the latest news.
