Completed the shelf unit this morning. Stained 2 coats last night (about 60sq feet per coat) and assembled this morning. Looks fairly decent. At some point I'll be putting up some comparative pictures of condo before I moved in and now that I'm mostly furnished. I have a long term goal of putting together an entertainment center, but need to get in my new entertainment hardware first. And that isn't happening on the money I have in pocket. :) Especially since I still haven't received my security deposit back from the last landlord. Time to send a certified letter.
I wound up not being able to bike to yesterday's soccer game. We found out at the last moment that it was changed to a different field (farther away). The field is definitely in my biking range, but it was too late for me to go. That turned out to be okay, since I completely forgot to bring something I needed to give
neo_blackwolf's mom (his pair of sneakers for play...he had the school-only pair) and had to run back home to get it.
While staining, I watched parts of both the Bruins game and the Revolution game. The Revs won, which was nice...as was seeing some of the players we met at the event a few weeks back doing well. Matt Reis had the most shutouts at goal in the league this season, putting up his 10th last night. I also watched Inning One of Ken Burns' baseball and added the series to my list of things I need to own. As well put together as advertised and not just a rehash of things I've read/seen before.
This morning, I've used up all my KoL turns, watched most of Treasure of the Sierra Madre, done some research on Wake-On-Lan technology to use on my home network and (as mentioned above) finished assembling the shelf unit. I think I'll do some cleaning and organizing (such as populating the shelf) and then settle down for a few pleasant episodes of Nowhere Man. A quiet, but hopefully fulfilling day. :)
