Okay. So for the last few weeks I've been trying to cut down on my caffeine level, in order to see how dependent on it I am. The answer is....well....very. While I didn't have any withdrawl symptoms per se (even on the few days I avoided it entirely), I'm just not as functional without it. I'm logy and inattentive. I sleep the same or more hours, but am constantly tired...and getting caffeine in my system in smaller amounts does nothing to ameliorate that. It masks the tiredness a bit, but doesn't actually take it away. Whereas my usual absurd consumption level of Diet Soda does keep me rolling. The only time I've felt consistently close to alert was during the con, when I was short on sleep but strong on caffeine consumption.

Time to go food shopping anyway. Restock ahoy! ;)

Currently watching on DVD: Supercar (with [livejournal.com profile] neo_blackwolf), Farscape Season One (ditto), Nowhere Man. We're really blasting through the Farscape, having just watched They've Got a Secret although we're only about a week into watching it. Supercar we're 2/5ths of the way through the series. Nowhere Man I'm currently a little stalled out halfway through. The series is just as excellent as I remember, but I haven't been in the mood for it since before Christmas. :)

Currently Reading: Solar Pons series by Derleth, Darian's Tale trilogy by Lackey/Nixon.

Currently doing: keeping the house clean, working. Need to finish trim on the projector screen and a bunch of paperwork. Need to come up with more projects.

Almost ready: new personal website.

Currently writing: lots of technical project plan stuff, thus an attempt to loosen my brain cells by rambling this out. :)

Looking forward to: Harry Dresden on scifi (Sunday!), Heroes on NBC (back from hiatus Monday!), getting together with friends (answer is uncertain)
