I don't really have anything I have plans to speak about publicly worth making a whole post about, but here are a few random thoughts...

  • Heroes - this episode, while it had a few good moments, really felt thoroughly like filler. The previews of next week's ep, however, looks like it will bring to fruition a lot of the paths this one started us down. Mom, Jessica snapping, superhero lessons and a whole lot of Sylaric entertainment.

  • Dresden Files - MUCH better episode. I'm starting to see what Jim Butcher saw in the series. It still isn't the book Dresden, but it is strong in its own right, with great echoes for fans of the books.

  • Blood Ties - Tanya Huff's series of books is coming to Lifetime in March, apparently. And here I didn't even know it was being made. Of course, it looks to be scheduled up against the Dresden Files. Luckily, DF repeats on SciFi at 11...so I guess I'll just stay up later.

  • I hate being sick. I spent all of Friday with godawfully nasty stomach pain. I've been functional, but not great since...just a slow upward trend towards feeling normally.

  • [livejournal.com profile] neo_blackwolf is doing a fantastic job of building his own new computer. A couple of new parts and some SATA drivers and he'll be installing the operating system. He's breaking the work up into little chunks he can focus on while still enjoying it, not rushing into frustration or boredom. He is also seriously stubborn about doing it all himself with only advice, not actual help. I'm very proud.

  • Speaking of Neo, [livejournal.com profile] jetshade and I met with his teacher on Friday. We very cooperatively and productively discussed ways to help him do even better in school and got good reports of his effort and slowly improving social graces.

  • Work is both good and frustrating lately. The frustrating is mainly me...not feeling like I'm getting a full grip on things. I'm doing okay, just not managing the high level of work that got me promoted and then retained. I'm still feeling fried from the high stress/work levels I faced in the latter half of the year, something I really need to work through.

  • TV on DVD: Farscape - watched through Crackers Don't Matter, B5 - starting up again, up to Soul Hunter tonight before sleep, Nowhere Man - maybe later.
