Last night wound up being fairly quiet, but pleasant. Picked up [livejournal.com profile] neo_blackwolf after a long feeling day at work. When we got home, he wanted to play outside, so I let him do so for 45 min. We had pierogies, salmon (frozen from Gortons, not fresh) and green beans for dinner.

Neo worked on his dentistry merit badge for a while, taking notes on the various careers in dentistry. We also finished the build for his new PC...we'll put that in place tonight and pack his old one up to go to his Mom's. He was fairly focused on both these tasks, making good strides. He then wanted to practice his Sax instead of finishing the dentistry writeup, which I was very willing to see happen. 40 minutes of practice and then shower. Second shower, to do it right, followed by bed. He was fairly unhappy that he didn't get to do more Sax practice, but it was his bedtime.

I watched the Celtics a bit when I wasn't supervising computer/merit-badge work. I definitely enjoyed the Sax concert. He was pushing himself and did sound better towards the end. Hopefully he'll keep up the regular practice, since he's been slacking on it for a while now.

Went to bed before 11 myself, after watching the Celtics' second unit throw the game away. Did some video transcoding work briefly and then called it a night.

Tonight, we'll finish up that dentistry requirement, swap his computers (yay, I get the dining room table back!) and hopefully enjoy more Sax performance. He'd like to try out his new Trivial Pursuit game that we'll both be miserable at, so we'll try and squeeze that in too. (World Football...I doubt I know the names of most of the teams, let alone any facts about them. I should do well on any Pele questions, though. I did read his autobiography a couple of times...)
