Another Day, Another Dollar Spent

neo_blackwolf schedule continues to be a tad up in the air due to talandra's condition, but she's forging forward and so are we. At least jetshade and I settled out the next few days yesterday.
I wound up working about 45 minutes late yesterday. Calling Jet determined that I would get the kid last night...and discovered he had not yet started his homework. Oy. He started it while I was en route to pick him up from the hospital. It was a pleasure to seemoonpuppy61, though. He grabbed my home phone number so that we could set up visiting. Happy, happy!
From the hospital, we found our way to Walmart. Picked up soda, new hiking shoes for both of us and sneakers for him (I didn't find a pair I liked for me). Decided that was enough shopping. It was late and I failed to feel like cooking, so we decided to go out for dinner. The decision of our destination was given to Neo and we had a lovely meal at Olive Garden. He ate an entire salad (which is a pretty sizable thing at Olive Garden), along with half of the steak/chicken plate he got. I had the cheese fonduta and about half of my chicken alfredo. The rest of mine will be my dinner tonight. The rest of his will be either his dinner Friday or lunch Saturday.
Following dinner, we trundled home and Jet met us with some of this things for school in the morning. Neo finished his homework, showered and we still managed to squeeze in the last few turns of the Munchkin game we had on hold since Monday.
This morning was a bit difficult due to my oversleeping and him undermoving, but we got through it. I was a little late for work, which I don't like, but he was still on time for school. That's two days in a row with me running late. I prefer to be in 10 minutes early, which I usually manage. Yesterday I was 5 min late (Jet/Neo honking at me on my way in, as they were headed to bring him to school at the same time); today 15.
Been making some progress at work today, which is good. Relearning php and css, working on some Citrix configs. Debating doing more on my php/css stuff tonight, but I could really use to get some things done around the house. I want to take the time to walk to the pharmacy and drop off a refill for Neo's prescription, but it looks as if the rain will vote against me. C'est la vie.
Neo tomorrow and through the weekend, even though I'm working on Sunday. If Neo does enough chores, he can buy Lady Friday to bring with him. He's over halfway there and I can certainly leave enough for him to do. Not to mention that he is going to be cleaning his room thoroughly. Everything on the floor in there tonight will wind up in the papasan chair for later redistribution.
