Another day, another snow flurry.

At least this time I didn't skid into a curb on a patch of compacted slush (which I did on Monday). That little moment of adventure cost me $238 to get a new rim and align my wheels again. However, I feel good that I was going slowly and carefully enough that there was no other damage...if I had a bit more momentum, I'd have gone into a light pole.

I will note that I avoided that turn this morning, taking a slightly alternate route. :) I wouldn't mind spending another day working from home while the car was in the shop, but the cash expense is a bit much...

(PS: Connectivity problem resolved late yesterday afternoon.)

Did it skid into a curb also?

I only wish.

We finally managed to build a proper policy to create an IPSEC tunnel manually on the hardware, thus solving all the problems I bitched about in my last post. Just playing cleanup on ancillary issues now. :)

ewww suckie. I know how it feels to get a new rim... I hit a pot hole 3 weeks after I got my new car and had to get a new rim/tire. Cost $450 (325 rim, and 125 tire). I scratched another rim after being driven into a curb, but wasn't bad enough to replace it, luckily.
